TOP THINGS TO DO IN DOLNI MORAVA [2022]
I’m fortunate enough to live in Silesia, Poland, just 300 km away from Dolni Morava in the Czech Republic. That gives me an opportunity to go there even for a day. Is this long enough though? Not really! Dolni Morava has so much to offer that you could spend a couple of days there without getting bored. What are the top things to do in this region? You can walk over the Sky Bridge 721, enjoy the views from the Sky Walk, visit WWII bunkers, and smash some trails. Learn more about the top things to do in Dolni Morava [2022].
SKY BRIDGE 721
Sky Bridge 721 is the world’s longest suspension footbridge that has been recently opened in Dolni Morava. Here are some facts about this construction. The bridge is 721 m long, almost 100 m high, and it took two years to build it. The entry point is at 1100 m just behind the mountain hut Slaměnka. You can either take a chairlift or simply walk up the hill. I would strongly suggest buying a ticket online. You will get the best price by doing that. A combined ticket is also a great option if you’re planning to do more fun activities in Dolni Morava. In summertime, you can walk over the bridge only in one direction. Once you exit it on the other side, you will return to the entry point by taking a walking track. Allow two hours for the entire experience.

SKY WALK
If you asked me what’s the top thing to do in Dolni Morava, I would definitely say the Sky Walk! This crazy-looking construction is located at 1100 m, not too far from the Sky Bridge 721. Tickets are available online. What’s so special about the Sky Walk? I love it for its cool design, breathtaking views, and the adventurous vibe. With that being said, make sure to check out the sleeve, the hanging net, and the 100 m slide. Taking a slide down is the quickest way to get back to the starting point. Just make sure to get yourself an extra ticket for this. You can buy it at the ticket office or on the top of the Sky Walk (payment is taken in cash only). In this case, wheelchairs are allowed on the construction. Contact the staff to get it transported by the chairlift.

ADRENALINE PARK
Are you a true thrill seeker? If yes, make sure to visit the Adrenaline Park, located in Dolni Morava, close to the chairlift lower station. You will find there a couple of fun (and scary!) attractions. Let’s begin with the Double Big Swing. It’s a huge swing for two people that drops rapidly from an elevation of 13 m. Madness! Another cool thing to do there is to try a rope course. There are five routes of different difficulty, suitable for beginners, as well as for more experienced adventurers. Fun times! These are the two attractions I tried out myself, but the Adrenaline Park offers even more that that. There is also a climbing wall, zip line, as well as Power Fun and Bag Jump. Are you brave enough to check all of them? Tickets are available upon arrival.
WWII BUNKERS
Any WWII history fans here? I’ve got something special for you! How about visiting bunkers that constituted a defensive countermeasure against the rising threat of Nazi Germany between 1936 and 1938? Dolni Morava has heaps of such military objects. Some of them are closed, and have steel bars in the door. Some of them remain open, so you can get inside. Others were converted into a museum. Honestly speaking, abandoned bunkers are my favourites. Searching, discovering, and getting inside them is what I absolutely love doing in my free time. It’s not too hard to find them though. Some pillboxes are located right after the Sky Bridge 721. For exact locations, go to a separate blog post about WWII bunkers in the Czech Republic.
WALKING TRACKS
I wouldn’t be myself, if I didn’t mention walking tracks here. They will always be one of the top things to do, no matter where I am! Śnieżnik is the highest peak of the Śnieżnik massif, and a great idea for a day hike. Walking tracks in Śnieżnik Landscape Park offer amazing views, and they are not too difficult to accomplish. If you exercise regularly, and stay physically active, you shouldn’t have any issues with doing them. Hiking is always fun so make sure to read a comprehensive blog post about hiking in Śnieżnik massif before you go (coming up soon). Enjoy!
