AUSTRIA: EISRIESENWELT CAVE
Eisriesenwelt Cave is located in Werfen, a small cosy town in Austria. This is the world's largest ice cave that has over 40 km of ice corridors. Not all of them are open for tourists though. Visitors are allowed to walk a section of 1 km which takes them up and down numerous steps. The cave is situated on a steep cliff at 1641 m and electric lighting has not been installed there. Isn't that cool? Learn more about this place here.

AUSTRIA: MOUNT SCHAFBERG
St. Wolfgang im Salzkammergut is a small picturesque town situated at Lake Wolfgangsee in Austria. The main attraction there is a cog railway ride to the top of the 1783 m tall Mount Schafberg. Even though I love hiking, this time I decided to take a ride instead of climbing the mountain. Wondering why? Well... I couldn't say no to Schafbergbahn, the steepest cog railway in Austria. Find out more about Mount Schafberg here.
